Why did I open EPIC? As a licensed clinical social worker who’s been in the human services field for close to forty years, my heart is fully dedicated to helping people with their personal growth and healing. I’ve also have been my own spiritual and personal growth path, healing from my own traumatic childhood, which was especially ignited since taking psychedelic mushrooms for the first time on my 18th birthday. Four decades later, I have trusted that mushrooms and other plant medicines, such as ayahuasca, can help people heal. Inspired by own healing experiences when being taken care of by some special shamans in 2017 during a difficult ayahuasca experience, I knew I wanted to someday be able to do that for someone else. When Oregon was going to potentionally pass measure 109, I pursued whatever psychedelic assisted therapy education and training I could in order to have a chance at legally serving others in the psychedelic space. (As of November 2024, EPIC’s Radiant Heart Consulting Facilitators have seen over 400 clients since opening).
