EPIC Healing Eugene is open for Mushroom Therapy, where the Mushrooms are the therapist!
Greetings to those on the EPIC Healing Eugene waitlist, and those interested in our progress.
After much logistical maneuvering we are happy to announce that EPIC Healing Eugene and our sister company Radiant Heart Consulting have started to serve those on our waitlist. We are engaged in a soft opening, meaning that we are reaching out and starting to schedule clients in at a slow rate. This is so we can refine our process, build our staffing team, and learn what works best in our cozy setting.
We are learning a lot in the process, including that our setting works best for serving individuals, couples, and small groups. Our first clients served have been individuals (when we engaged in our staff trial of testing dosages in May), and now we've been serving some couples starting in June, and have now started to test out our space for small groups. Knowing our setting and how to improve the experience for clients that come to us takes extra time and care, but we believe this is an important part of service delivery in the long run. We appreciate everyone's patience with our process.
Taking a little break from the busyness of getting EPIC Healing Eugene open, some of our staff made a visit to the Oregon Country Fair, and have been taking some needed time off to reset and restore, reconnect with loved ones and friends, commune with nature, and attend to self-nurturing activities that has been a bit neglected during EPIC’s complex business preparation phase. Now that we’re on the other side of that, we are feeling excited and ready as we transition into our long-awaited service phase.
What we are learning so far during our soft-opening phase: We are adapting our process as we go along and continue to make adjustments so we can best meet the needs of those who come to us. Some of these adjustments are small ones such as adding extra bedding and pillows, and other changes are more significant such as limiting our groups to 2-5 people that know each other in advance. We've made some policy decisions on dosage maximums depending on group size, and when a single room will be offered, versus giving clients full access to both rooms of our service center (and flower-filled courtyard). We can provide more information on these logistics during our intake process.
We do apologize for those who are eager to receive this service in an above-ground setting, and to be seen by us and those who have been reaching out to us to get answers on where they are on the waitlist and trying to get other initial questions answered. The reality is we have thousands on our waitlist, and as a small business and small service center, we don't have the staffing resources to respond to each and repeated inquiries. Please know we do not accept walk-ins and have a waitlist for services. All services are arranged in advance. Thank you. We've also offered a link for other Oregon service centers and supportive resources on our Radiant Heart Resource page.
If you have received an automated response that you are on our EPIC Healing Eugene waitlist, you are. We are eager to work with those who are interested in furthering their personal growth and healing.
While we are not a research or medical setting, we offer a non-directive approach of support while trusting in a client's inner intelligence and the psilocybin to lead the way. We look forward to serving those who appreciate the intimate setting that we have, our staffing, and the client focus service we provide.
Warmly,
Cathy Rosewell Jonas
