EPIC Healing Eugene has the distinct honor of becoming Oregon and the Nation’s very first licensed Psilocybin Service Center. USA Today reached out for an interview in light of other states, like Massachusetts, getting ready to vote on creating their own legal model of providing mushroom therapy for those who could benefit from it. Though, the high costs of creating and maintaining this type of business makes it challenging from a business standpoint, but especially for the many people who are hoping to seek services, beyond what traditional western medicine has been able to provide them. What mushroom therapy helps a client traverse the deep inner world of their life experience. For many, they are led to the nugget of healing, which inspires them to make positive shifts in their lives. This type of therapeutic mushroom therapy model is helping people, as licensed facilitators, we witness this first hand on the front lines of providing this type of care.
We emphasize and know the costs are high to come to a state-regulated service center, especially one like ours where we mostly just open up the service center for a single client. We contribute 5% of our monthly revenue, since opening, to our Pay-It-Forward Fund, so we can help those who cannot afford a session. We also view our services as potentially life-changing, so we offer free long-term integrative support. Despite the many logistical challenges, we continue to feel grateful that we can offer this healing service, and that this work is part of an Earth-based movement of healing. It’s like we are discovering what really works for so many people,. This is what inspires us to keep on.
